What you will be doing
Xcenda, an AmerisourceBergen company, is a world-class healthcare consultancy driven to help our life science customers understand and optimize business strategy based on the shifting concept of value. We are looking for an experienced Communications/Graphics Designer to join our energetic team of creative designers who value innovation, forward-thinking design, and the promotion of proactive and collaborative effort in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

Under the general direction of our Creative and project leads, the Communications Designer will develop and execute graphic design and multi-media work as it relates to client-sponsored work, as well as internal corporate communications and marketing pieces. Responsibilities include concept development, visual execution, videography, photography, multi-media production, and updates of collateral materials. Expertise and knowledge of professional graphics software for pre-press, print, and digital publishing: Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Professional, Premiere, After Effects, Audition), Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and basic working knowledge of HTML and CSS are required. Photography experience is a plus.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute design concepts for internal and external communications, including but not limited to PowerPoint presentations, brochures, sales collateral, logos and icons, trade show graphics, videos, photography, and other assignments as requested
  • Ensure media design elements are synergistic within and across all communication platforms
  • Work closely with all members of the Marketing team to ensure adherence to corporate branding standards and guidelines
  • Work with Copywriters, Strategic Account Leads, Content Developers, Client and Project Managers, and other subject matter experts to develop a range of value proposition print/tools and other multi-media projects of the highest caliber within scope, on time, and on budget
  • Facilitate communications regarding status of projects, requirements for successful completion, and other necessary details with external/internal customers
  • Make significant technologically relevant and creative contributions to the ongoing evolution and innovation of communications
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy across photography and videography resources including production and post-production
  • Apply knowledge of print and layout processes and standards to produce complex deliverables/tools with multiple items of a project

What your background should look like (minimum qualifications)

BA or BFA in Liberal Arts, Design, or related field
4+ years of creative work experience
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of design elements, such as color and composition, and proven ability to execute those elements in creative visual design
  • Technical skill: production expertise and knowledge of professional graphics software for pre-press, print, and digital publishing: Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Professional, Premiere, After Effects, Audition), Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and basic working knowledge of HTML and CSS. Photography experience is a plus
  • 1+ year of knowledge of video production and post-production techniques including lighting, camera equipment, and live audio recording
  • Understanding of print production processes
  • Familiarity with interactive and web technologies as well as site architecture
  • Communication ability: effectively present ideas, both verbally and visually. Adjust designs to fit customer needs
